10 million Italians will travel on
the November 1 long weekend taking advantage of the fact that
Monday is the All Saints Day public holiday, the Federalberghi
hotel group said Thursday.
Some 90% of these will remain in Italy, it said.
They will variously choose art cities (27.7%), mountains 22.5%)
and the seaside (20.5%) as the destinations for their break.
For the 10% going abroad, the preferred destinations will be the
major European capitals (63%).
The overall turnover from the weekend's travel and tourism will
be around 3.16 billion euros, Federalberghi said.
