Women tend to be "more insecure and
less bold" than men and therefore have less success in their
careers than their male counterparts, historian and academic
Alessandro Barbero told La Stampa Thursday.
"Is it possible that, on average, women lack that aggression,
boldness and self-confidence that help to get ahead?," he asked.
There is hope for women, however, he said - with men's help.
"Emerging form this trend may only be a question of time," said
Barbero.
"It should be enough to properly train some generations of young
men who are more aware, and the situation will change".
