Italians' spending on culture
rose 2.6% in 2017 over the previous year, a rise of 71.4 billion
euros, according to the 14th Federculture 'Culture Business'
report presented in Milan Monday.
In particular, 31 billion euros were spent on theatre,
cinema, museums and concerts, a rise of 3.1% on 2016, the report
said.
There was a continuing North-South gap with average spending
in the north over 150 euros a head per month and average monthly
spending in the south 95 euros a head.
Trentino Alto Adige was top with 191 euros and Sicily last
with around 66 euros a month.
