(ANSA) - Rome Commissioner Francesco Paolo Tronca has
approved a six-million-euro preliminary project to complete
restoration work at the Mausoleum of Augustus, the City of Rome
said Wednesday.
Funding will serve to finish structural work on the
monumental tomb built in 28 BC for Rome's first emperor,
including covering it, building a circular catwalk around it,
and preparing it to open for public visits.
