Lampedusa on Monday morning recorded the arrival of 109 people after a total of 300 people reached the Sicilian island in just 24 hours on Sunday in eight separate landings.
The local migrant hotspot on Monday was hosting 232 people including 21 unaccompanied minors.
The last group of migrants to reach the island on Monday morning included 24 migrants from Algeria, Egypt, Pakistan and Syria who were rescued by a boat operated by EU border agency Frontex.
The migrants said they had departed from Ras Jesir in Libya and that a Tunisian coast guard vessel they had encountered during the crossing had allowed them to proceed with their journey.
Meanwhile another group of 35 Egyptians, Moroccans, Libyans and Syrians, including seven women and seven minors rescued by NGO-run migrant-rescue vessel Nadir, said they had departed from Abu Kammash, in Libya, after paying between 7 and 8,000 Libyan dinars.
A little cat was travelling with the group whose members said they wanted to travel to Germany.
