Inflation in the tourism sector in
August rose by 1% on a monthly basis and 4.6% on an annual basis
from 4.1% the previous month, a Demoskopika survey said
Wednesday.
The average inflation rate went up for holiday packages (from
19.5% to 23.2%), as well as hotels and restaurants (from 4.3% to
4.4%).
The tendential growth of transport services went from -2.2% to
+0.4%, the survey found.
Recreational and cultural services remained stable at 3.8%.
Overall, a more significant price hike was registered in
transport services, up 7.8% on July, in particular in maritime
transport (+33.8%) and air travel (+16.3%) said Demoskopika.
