A heat warning is in place in six
Italian cities Sunday as steamy heat alternates with downpours
in much of the country.
The yellow hot-weather warning is in force in Rome, Bologna,
Perugia, Bari, Ancona and Pescara.
Sticky 'afa' conditions continue to reign in the south of Italy.
However, there have also been heavy showers in Lazio and other
central parts.
Farther north, in Lombardy, there is an orange alert for bad
weather, while the bad-weather alert level is yellow in Trentino
Alto Adige and Piedmont.
