(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 20 - Giulia Cecchettin, the slain
22-year-old biomedical engineering student from Veneto, was kind
but not stupid or naive, her sister said on Monday.
"My sister was kinder, more gentle, more sensitive than anyone
can imagine, a pure soul, an eternal child, but not in the sense
of being stupid and naive," Elena Cecchettin told reporters.
"She was a person who lived life lightly and without malice,"
she explained.
"This morning I imagined my sister telling me 'Come on, on you
go!," continued Cecchettin.
"She used to tell me that I was a hoplite (a spear-carrying
ancient Greek infantry soldier, ed.). When she was at classical
high school, she told me that the hoplites were the warriors,
and she always used to say that you have to have the strength of
a hoplite," she said. (ANSA).
