(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 21 - An Italian man has realised his dream
of getting a second university degree, at the age of 86.
Angelo Marino, a former town council secretary in Piedmont,
Liguria, Umbria and Tuscany who ended his career as
secretary-general of the province of Siena, on Thursday
discussed his thesis on 'My Country 1937-1950' before being
awarded a degree in letters.
He got his first degree, in criminal law, in 1962, with a thesis
on fraud.
Siena University said their latest and oldest graduate had shown
"just a hint of emotion" while his family was "visibly moved".
