Deputy Premier and Transport and
Infrastructure Minister Matteo Salvini said on Saturday anyone
who claims lowering taxes is not a priority is a "jerk".
"Someone has even managed to claim the priority is not lowering
taxes. He is a jerk, because he obviously has 10 million in his
pocket," said Salvini, who is also secretary of the right-wing
League party.
"But lowering taxes is a priority for me, for the League and for
the government," he insisted.
"How can you say that the flat tax, public works and the bridge
over the Strait (of Messina) are not priorities? It doesn't take
a scientist" to figure it out, Salvini concluded.
