(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 27 - A 69-yar.old Italian woman who had
been missing in the snow in the Apennines above Rimini since
Monday was found on Friday.
Maria Cristina Ventura, from Montecopiolo, is believed to have
slipped and fallen into a gully quite far from her home and,
unable to move or call for help, died of the cold, rescuers
said.
The heavy snow that fell in the steep zone this week hid her
body from search teams until a tax police unit found her Friday
afternoon. (ANSA).
