Police have tracked down the driver
of a car that on Saturday snagged a 81-year-old woman after an
accident and dragged her for eight kilometres to Senigallia, in
Marche, where her dead body was found on the side of the road.
The woman from the town of Marzocca was initially hit while
walking her dog by a van, the driver of which stopped to give
assistance.
But she was then caught and dragged away by another vehicle.
It was raining heavily at the time and visibility was poor.
Ancona prosecutors have opened a probe into vehicular homicide.
