Italian industrial employers' chief
Carlo Bonomi said Tuesday he had appreciated Premier Giorgia
Meloni's remarks on the EU, jobs and business in her maiden
confidence policy speech setting out her five-year agenda to the
House earlier in the day.
The Confindustria president said "we very much appreciated above
all having reaffirmed Italy's international position, therefore
in the EU and NATO, and we particularly appreciated the fact
that she focused on the issue of jobs in the round, an issue on
which I think the country will have to make great reflections in
the coming months.
"And is is obvious that we share that without industry there is
no Italy, but we're not saying that for a corporative question,
it's the numbers that say so".
