Polar air will bring temperatures
across Italy down by up to 12 degrees Celsius this weekend,
abruptly ending a two-week-long heatwave, forecasters said
Friday.
Strong 'bora' winds and intense rain will hit the northeast
Saturday morning and gales will affect the rest of the north and
the Adriatic coast during the rest of the weekend, said Antonio
Sanò, director and founder of iLMeteo.it.
Thunderstorms and hailstorms will spread to the rest of the
country by the start of next week, he said.
But then a fresh wave of heat from Africa will bring sticky
'afa' conditions back starting from Tuesday, with temps in the
mid to high 30s, Sanò said.
