The number of COVID-19 patients in
intensive care in Italy was down by 48% on May 24 with respect
to the previous week, the Italian Federation of Hospital and
Health Agencies (FIASO) said on Wednesday.
It said the total number of coronavirus sufferers in hospital
had dropped by 16% in a week.
It said that 12 hospitals had no COVID patients in intensive
care at all.
The federation said 29 of the COVID patients in hospital were
minors, a drop of 21.6% in a week.
None of the child COVID sufferers were in intensive care.
It said 55% of the child cases regarded under-fives.
