A Florence appeals court on Monday
quashed a life sentence for an Italian nurse who was on trial
for 10 suspicious deaths in a hospital at Piombino on the
southern Tuscan coast between 2014 and 2015.
The woman, Fausta Bonino, was instead sentenced to one and a
half years in jail, a suspended sentence, for receiving stolen
goods.
In the first-instance trial Bonino got life for multiple murder
over four of the 10 detahs.
