Carabinieri police have launched a
massive search for a 35-year-old Romanian man suspected of
killing a pensioner at his home in Milan's Porta Romana district
on Monday with a knife and a chainsaw.
The suspect had been ordered to stay away from the victim,
82-year-old Pierantonio Secondi, after being reported for
stalking several months ago, sources said.
Investigators believe the killer used the chainsaw to break
through the door of the victim's apartment.
The attacker is thought to have stabbed Secondi and then
continued the assault with the chainsaw.
Some of the suspect's personal items were allegedly found in
Secondi's flat and sources said a printout of a message in which
he explained the motive for the homicide were found in reception
area of the apartment building.
