There have been 4,054 new cases of
COVID-19 in Italy in the last 24 hours, and 48 more victims of
the virus, the health ministry said Tuesday.
That compares to 2,535 new cases and 30 more victims Monday.
A new record of 639,745 more tests have been done, compared with
222,385 Monday.
The positivity rate is down from 1.1% to 0.6%.
Intensive care cases are up three, and hospital admissions up
25.
The currently positive are 75,046, up 392 on Monday.
The recovered and discharged are 4,540,823, up 3,613 on Monday.
The case tally since the start of the pandemic is 4,747,773, and
the death toll 131,904.
