Premier Mario Draghi told the House
ahead of this week's EU summit that great challenges can only be
faced with massive State intervention.
"It is increasingly clear that the digital transition, the
ecological one and the other great global challenges cannot be
successfully tackled without deep and massive intervention by
the State," he said.
"This must be borne in mind because State intervention is both
at the EU and national level and when we speak of the rules and
commitments that we are assuming they can be addressed with a
very large commitment of State finances".
