ISTAT said Monday that almost four
in ten of Italy's businesses fear for their survival after the
coronavirus emergency.
The national statistics agency said 38% of firms reported
"operative and sustainability risks".
It said that 70% of firms had made use of the CIG furlough
fund.
ISTAT said that "over half of the companies (51.5%, with
employment amounting to 37.8% of the total) foresee a lack of
liquidity for the expenditure that will occur up until the end
of 2020".
