A promising 19-year-old swimmer
paralysed from the waist down in a Rome mistaken-identity
shooting earlier this month on Monday said "the training starts
now" as he began rehabilitation classes.
"I'll give all I've got to return as soon as possible,
because I don't want to stay here long," said Manuel Bortuzzo.
Bortuzzo was speaking after leaving Rome's San Camillo
Hospital where he had been treated since February 3.
He is to start rehabilitation in a Roman clinic, Santa Lucia.
