Financial cover for the Genoa
bridge decree has been found, contrary to media reports, and the
decree will go to President Sergio Mattarella before being
published in the Official Gazette, a statement from the
premier's office said Tuesday.
It said the intervention in the capital account was already
"wholly" funded this year.
Furthermore, those in current accounts were also funded for
2018, and, in part, for subsequent years.
Genoa's Morandi Bridge collapsed August 14 killing 43 people.
A replacement is set to be built with funding from the
Autostrade per l'Italia (ASPI) motorway concessionary, which
will not however be involved in the construction.
