Italy's budget deficit will fall
under 3% of GDP in 2026 according to the "ambitious" Structural
Budget Plan (PSB) examined by the cabinet Tuesday, the economy
ministry said.
The plan, part of a reform of European budgetary riles, also
envisages a net growth in spending to an average 1.5%, and
extends from four to seven years the budgetary adjustment plan.
Stats agency Istat will review the plan on September 23, after
which it will be put to parliament, the ministry said.
