(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 3 - Gas bills rose by 4.8% in September
compared to August on the protected market, said Arera, the
public authority that sets electricity and gas tariffs on the
protected market, which covers 10 million users, one third of
the total.
The increase is entirely due to the rise in the average price of
methane compared to August, it said.
On the Italian wholesale market, the PSV, the average price in
September was EUR 37.05 per megawatt hour.
General charges and the tariff related to transport and metering
remained unchanged. (ANSA).
