Bank of Italy Governor Ignazio Visco
said Friday that he will step down in November.
"Today's will be the last (Bank of Italy) assembly that I will
preside over as governor," said Visco, who was appointed
governor of the central bank on November 1, 2011.
"In November I will leave the helm of the institution that I
joined in 1972".
He said his stint in charge has been "intense" and that
"important changes in the institute's function" had taken place
in that time.
