Some 13% of Italian families say
their income is not enough to get by due to the cost of living
crisis, think tank Nomisma said Tuesday.
"The rise in living costs that has happened over the last year
due to the spike in the prices of goods and services is really
hitting the finances of Italian families hard," it said in its
Osservatorio "Sguardi Famigliari".
The 13% of households said their incomes were not enough to
cover primary needs like groceries, rents, mortgages and bills.
A further 43% of households said their income was "barely
enough" to meet such basic spending needs.
