The EU should protect businesses but
on equal terms for all States, Premier Giorgia Meloni told a
press conference after talks in Rome Monday with European
Council President Charles Michel ahead of a special Council meet
on February 9-10.
"The European Council will discuss strengthening the
competitiveness of European industry," she said.
"We are all aware that Europe also has to protect its companies,
and we think it has to do so with courage, with vision and by
ensuring a level playing field for all member states".
