Some 140 million euros in assets held
by a plan-making joint venture between Italian defence giant
Leonardo and Russian aircraft manufacturer Sukoi have been
frozen due to EU sanctions against Moscow for its invasion of
Ukraine, sources said Thursday.
The frozen assets include five planes made by the venture,
Venice-based Superjet International SpA.
The financial security committee of the economy ministry isued
the seizure order against the holding company, PJSC United
aircraft corporation, while leaving free Leonardo's stakes in
the company.
