Italian exports rose 22.9%
year-on-year in March, while imports were up an annual 38.8%,
ISTAT said Tuesday.
In monthly terms, the rises were 1.7% and 1.3% respectively over
February, the stats agency said.
Italy showed a trade deficit of 84 million euros in March
compared to a surplus of 5,190 million in the same month last
year, ISTAT said.
The energy deficit, at 8,065 million, was up from 2,794 million
a year previously.
Export to Russia fell an annual 50.9% in March, ISTAT said.
