Italian household wealth rose by
around 100 billion euros, or 1%, to 10,010 billion euros in
2020, according to the latest figures from the Bank of Italy and
stats agency ISTAT Thursday.
Net wealth was about 8.7 times household income, the report
said.
Residential property, the main form of family investment,
accounted for almost half of household wealth at 5,163 billion
euros.
Financial assets reached 4,800 billion, up on 2019 due to an
increase in deposits and insurance reserves, the BoI-ISTAT
report said.
Liabilities were almost stable at 967 billion euros.
