Italy's annual inflation rate rose to
3.8% this month, the highest level since September 2008,
according to provisional data released by national statistics
agency ISTAT on Tuesday.
The agency said its consumer-price index was up 0.7% in November
in month-on-month terms.
It said the increases were driven by higher energy prices.
ISTAT also said Tuesday that Italy's GDP rose by 2.6% in the
third quarter with respect to the previous three months and by
3.9% compared to the same period in 2020.
