A 66-year-old Italian man has been
placed under investigation and his home searched after the
disappearance near Modena over two months ago of a 31-year-old
female acquaintance.
The man, Domenico Lanza, nicknamed The Sheriff because he wears
a cowboy hat, is believed to have been one of the last people to
have seen Daniela Ruggi alive before she went missing in October
at Montefiorino.
Lanza was arrested for weapons possession on Friday.
