Inail said Thursday that 680 fatal
work-related accidents were reported to it in the first eight
months of 2024, a rise of 3.5% on the equivalent period in 2023.
The national labour accidents and occupational illness agency
said 386,554 reports of accidents were submitted to it in total
in the January-August period, up 0.9% compared to the same
period in 2023 but down 20.2% on the first eight months of 2022.
It said occupational illnesses were up 21.3% to 58,857.
