A Ryanair flight to London was forced
to return to Brindisi airport in Puglia on Thursday morning, 40
minutes after take-off.
The flight was forced to make a U-turn when warning lights went
off in the cabin.
However, no emergencies were subsequently reported and the plane
was rescheduled for departure early in the afternoon.
The episode on Thursday was the fourth involving a Ryanair
flight over the past 10 days after a plane's tyres burst upon
landing at Bergamo's Orio al Serio airport and two other
incidents in Brindisi. In an incident last Thursday, the engine
of a jet of the low-cost carrier caught fire while taxiing to
take off at Brindisi airport.
