Chiara Petrolini, the 22-year-old
university student accused of killing her two newborn babies and
burying them in her garden, was placed under house arrest on
Friday.
The two newborns were found buried in the garden of the home the
young woman shares with her family in the town of Vignale di
Traversetolo near Parma.
"Finally - it's the only comment I can make", the mother of
Petrolini's boyfriend, who is not under investigation, told
ANSA.
The 22-year-old is suspected of having killed one of the babies
in early August right after giving birth, while the second body
of a newborn found in the garden is believed to have been killed
about one year ago, investigative sources said.
