A group of eight climbers was hit by
an avalanche on the Castore mountain in the Monte Rosa massif on
Monday, sources said.
Some of the mountaineers were injured, the sources said.
The Alpine Rescue Service was unable to use its helicopters
because of bad weather conditions so it had reach the party on
foot.
Four mountaineers, two Italians and two South Koreans, were
reported missing on the Italian side of Mont Blanc at the
weekend.
The weather conditions have made it impossible for rescuers to
search for them so far.
