Education Minister Giuseppe Valditara
announced Sunday that Italy has launched a programme to
experiment with the use of artificial technology to enhance
teaching in schools,
"We are one of the first countries to have started an experiment
in the use of artificial intelligence for the personalisation of
teaching this school year," Valditara told The European House
Ambrosetti (TEHA) Forum at Cernobbio.
"It is starting in 15 classes in Calabria, Lazio, Tuscany and
Lombardy.
"If the model works, we plan to extend it further because the
personalisation of teaching is one of the musts of my
government's work in the field of education and I believe that
artificial intelligence, properly guided by the teacher, can
play a significant role".
