Four mountaineers, two Italians and
two Koreans, have been missing amid violent storms on the
Italian side of Mont Blanc since Saturday, the Aosta Valley
Alpine Rescue Service said on Sunday.
The service said that Italian pair were last reported to be
stranded near the summit due to the extreme weather at an
altitude of over 4500 metres.
The rescuers said they did not know where the Koreans were.
The service reported that its officers tried to search for the
missing climbers early on Sunday on foot but had to give up
because of the weather.
