A 46-year-old Italian woman and her
55-year-old new partner were arrested Wednesday on suspicion of
trying to throw acid in the face of her 48-year-old ex in order
to make him hand over their son who had been placed in the man's
custody after a legal battle in Verona, sources in the Veneto
city said Wednesday.
The ex reported the pair to the police saying he had suffered
physical and verbal threats, including the alleged acid
throwing, in order to force him to hand over their four-year-old
son.
