Pop star Madonna will not be hosting
a party at Pompeii for hundreds of guests as alleged by recent
reports, the Pompeii Archaeological Park has said.
"Regarding media reports over the past few days of a 'mega
party' of international celebrities with 500 guests at the
excavation site of Pompeii, as well as an alleged payment of
30,000 euros for the Great Theatre, the Archaeological Park
states that such reports are unfounded", the organization
managing the site said in a statement.
