Swim star Gregorio Paltrinieri and
his champion fencer fiancee Rossella Fiamingo will be Italy's
flag bearers at the closing ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics
on Sunday night, ANSA sources said Saturday.
The two Italians, aged respectively 29 and 33, will parade at
the Stade de France at the head of the Italian team.
Paltrinieri has said he is mulling retirement after finishing
ninth in one of his signature events, the 10,000 metres open
water marathpn.
