The secretary general of the FIM CISL
labour union, Ferdinando Uliano, on Thursday warned that an
estimated 25,000 jobs in Stellantis and related businesses are
at risk.
"Over the course of 2025 both Stellantis and connected
businesses will finish redundancy funds.
"There will be mass layoffs without timely interventions",
warned Uliano.
The union leader estimated that, without action, "at least
12,000 jobs are at risk in Stellantis plants and as many, if not
more, in plants producing component parts".
The limit to use redundancy funds is three years, with
exceptions made in many cases.
Meanwhile the head of human resources and industrial relations
of Stellantis Italia, Giuseppe Manca, told the Omnibus program
of private broadcaster La7 that the carmaker "shared with
unions its business plan for Italy which assigns a mission to
every plant until the end of the decade", in an interview to the
Omnibus program of private broadcaster La7.
