Inflation in the OECD area dropped to
5.6% in June compared to 5.9% in May, the organization said
Monday, adding that it was the lowest level reported since
October 2021.
Italy was among three countries in the eurozone - also including
Finland and Lithuania - to register an inflation rate under the
1% threshold.
Inflation remained stable in Italy in June at 0.8%.
Overall, inflation dropped in 24 out of the 38 member countries
of Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.
Also in June in the G7 it dropped to 2.7% against 2.9 the
previous months.
The eurozone remained stable at 2.5% against 2.6% of the
previous month.
