(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 19 - Road safety is a priority and it must
be everyone's commitment to increase it, President Sergio
Mattarella said on the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic
Victims Sunday.
"Road victims are an unacceptable loss that unites families,
civil society and institutions in grief. Road safety is a
priority, a goal to be achieved with concrete and immediate
actions to tackle a phenomenon that endangers social safety,"
said the Italian president.
"Making the movement of vehicles and people safe is a complex
and indispensable task that requires the commitment to this end
of all the actors involved, public authorities, manufacturers,
citizens". (ANSA).
