(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 18 - Italy beat North Macedonia 5-2 in
their Euro 2024 group C qualifier in Rome on Friday evening,
advancing their hopes of making it through to the tournament in
Germany next year.
It was the first of two crunch qualifiers for the team coached
by Luciano Spalletti, with the second being Monday's clash with
Ukraine in Leverkusen in Germany.
The reigning European champions now need at least a draw against
Ukraine to be sure of a place in next year's competition.
