Rugby: Italy to field two sets of siblings against Uruguay

Coach Crowley makes four changes to starting line-up

(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 18 - For the first time in the history of the Italian men's rugby national team, two sets of brothers will take the field for the Azzurri in a World Cup game when they take on Uruguay in Nice on Wednesday.
In the backs, Venetian siblings Paolo and Alessandro Garbisi will line up at inside centre and scrumhalf respectively.
Florentine number 8 Lorenzo Cannone, meanwhile, is joined in the pack by his brother Niccolò, a lock.
Coach Kieran Crowley has made four changes to his starting line-up with respect to the side that beat Namibia 52-8 in the opening game and he has re-arranged the back line.
Paolo Garbisi, who started at fly-half against Namibia, wears the Azzurri number 12 shirt for the first time, with Tommaso Allan switching from fullback to stand-off and Ange Capuozzo moving from the wing to take his place at 15.
As a result Lorenzo Pani takes the number 14 shirt with centre Luca Morisi dropping out of the team.
Alessandro Garbisi comes in for Stephen Varney at scrum half, while Niccolò Cannone takes over from Dino Lamb in the second row .
Pope Marco Riccioni returns to the starting line-up in the place of Simone Ferrari.
Italy need a win on Wednesday to keep alive any realistic hope of finishing in the top two of Pool A, which also features hosts France and the mighty New Zealand All Blacks, and qualify for the World Cup quarter-finals for the first time ever.
But they are likely to be in for a big test from Uruguay, who were impressive in their 27-12 defeat to France last week.
"We're at a World Cup, every match has its importance, its difficulties, its story," said Crowley.
"The preparation for the match against Uruguay has been good.
"We'll be focused on our performance".
