(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 18 - Local train, bus, tram and metro
services were hit on Monday by a nationwide strike proclaimed by
several unions representing workers in the sector.
Rome transport company Atac said five metro stations were
closed, Cornelia, Baldo degli Ubaldi, Repubblica, Vittorio
Emanuele and Ponte Lungo, but added that the three lines of the
underground remained operational.
Likewise, Milan's ATM said all five metro lines were running
there.
The impact of the strike on commuters in Naples was limited,
while in Bologna it led to an increase in road traffic. (ANSA).
