(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 16 - Fernando Botero will be buried in the
Tuscan town of Pietrasanta after dying in Monte Carlo at the age
of 91 on Friday, the Colombia artist's son Fernando Botero Zea
told ANSA in an interview on Saturday.
The artists had a home in the province of Lucca town and worked
there for long spells during his career.
He was also an honorary citizen of it.
"After Colombia, Italy was the most important country for my
father," Botero Zea said, adding that he had asked to be buried
in Pietrasanta's civic cemetery before his death. (ANSA).
