Rome's bid to host the Einstein
Telescope in Sardinia shows Italy is thinking big, Premier
Giorgia Meloni said after officially unveiling the candidacy in
the Italian capital Tuesday.
"I wanted to offer with my presence the attention, the will, the
dedication that the Italian government intends to put into
Italy's candidature to host the Einstein telescope, I wanted
this will to be clear", she said presenting the bid with
competent ministers.
'"The symbol of this candidacy is the symbol of an Italy that
wants to look upwards, that wants to say we are capable of great
feats, because we have already done it many times, Italy has
always been capable of thinking big, though at times it has
lacked awareness and will".
