(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 10 - Pope Francis would resign in the
event tiredness prevented him from seeing clearly, according to
an interview to Swiss broadcaster Rsi and published by Italian
newspapers Friday.
The Pope is reportedly not planning to resign, but in the
interview for the 10th anniversary of his election on 13 March
2013 he said "a tiredness that does not let you see things
clearly, the lack of clarity, of knowing how to evaluate
situations" and also "possibly a physical problem" would lead
him to quit.
The knee ailment that forced him into a wheelchiar for the first
time last year "was a physical humiliation", said the
86-year-old pontiff. (ANSA).
